Bird-watching at Gore Place

Members of the Gore Place/Brookline Bird Club enjoyed a “bird walk” at Gore Place and on adjacent conservation land this past Saturday morning. Club members identified 24 bird species either visually or by their cries. Among them was a Great Blue Heron..

I got the interest in photography from my dad and in nature from my mom. I chronicle nature, family, events, sometimes meaningful sometimes random. It is a hobby that I enjoy. I have lived in Waltham for 29 years. I love visiting the countryside but love living right in the city. I love having a choice where I can walk, bicycle or drive to the supermarket and other places if so desired.

  1. Emily is the best! She often leads bird walks for the Waltham Land Trust along the Charles River. The next one will be on Saturday, July 19. Check out walthamlandtrust.org next month for details.
