Neighborhood meeting to discuss 200 Trapelo traffic and parking issues

Neighbors of the 200 Trapelo playground will meet with city officials Wednesday to discuss traffic and parking concerns in the neighborhood since last month’s grand opening.
The neighborhood meeting — scheduled for 5:45-6:45 p.m. at the memorial gate area of 200 Trapelo Road (by the flag pole) — will focus on traffic and parking issues affecting Trapelo, Porter, Chase, Oakledge, Albemarle and Marlborough roads.
Ward 3 City Councillor Bill Hanley, Director of Recreation Kim Hebert and Senior Traffic Engineer Michael Garvin will hear concerns from neighbors of the playground, answer questions and provide updates on possible solutions.
“This won’t be a debate about the park — the park is here to stay, we know there are people who disagreed with it being built,” Hanley said in a statement on his website. “We’re here to fix the problems it’s caused to the streets and neighbors in Ward 3.”
Neighbors are encouraged to walk to the meeting at 200 Trapelo Road because of limited parking. Bench seating is available at the memorial gate. Driving is also allowed.
