Reduce unwanted solicitations at your home

Waltham residents can add their address to the No Solicitation/No Knock list through the Waltham Police Department website, according to a recent WPD Facebook post.

Having their address on this list helps residents maintain peace and privacy by instructing solicitors licensed by the city not to knock on the door or leave materials at those addresses.

To sign up, visit the city’s No Solicitation sign-up page.

Some organizations are exempt from the no-solicitation list and can still knock at your door, even if an address is on the list. These include:

  • Government workers on official business
  • Kids under 17
  • Anyone going door-to-door for religious, political, newspaper or nonprofit reasons

That means residents might still hear from a candidate, church group, or someone distributing information — but not salespeople.
