Single-car collision causes heavy traffic delays near high school

Emergency crews responded to the area of 1010 Lexington St. around 2 p.m. Friday for a reported single-car accident.

On arrival, crews found one vehicle that had struck a utility pole. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash caused heavy traffic delays in the area, as Friday afternoon traffic was already backed up with Waltham High School letting out at the same time.
