Tom Stanley named Legislator of the Year by MassNAELA

The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys presented state Rep. and longtime Waltham resident Thomas Stanley with its Legislator of the Year award at its annual meeting on Dec. 11.

Stanley, who represents the 9th Middlesex District in the Massachusetts State house, was cited for going above and beyond in supporting legislation that protects the rights and improves the lives of older adults and individuals with special needs. 

NAELA is the premier organization of elder and special needs law attorneys in the country. It’s dedicated to developing awareness of issues concerning the elderly and those with special needs. More than 400 attorneys are members of the Massachusetts chapter.

  1. tom stanley will always be remembered as one of two representatives (along with the sheriff koutujian) to be the “deciding ” votes to have massachusetts be the first state in the union to allow homosexual marriages. what a stain on our community. sad since he is a Catholic.
