Bentley fraternity volunteers with the Waltham Land Trust to care for Wellington Fields

Bentley University’s Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity joined the Waltham Land Trust during one of the organization’s weekend volunteer sessions at Wellington Fields. AKP has been volunteering in collaboration with WLT and the Waltham Recreation Department for the last five years.

During their Nov. 23 work day, volunteers removed invasive Ailanthus plants, planted daffodils at the Woburn Street entrance to the property and cleaned the yard of branches to prepare for mowing. Workers also did work to maintain paths so that visitors to the property can walk safely. After working, the group enjoyed mulled cider and cookies to reward a job well done.
