Waltham Fire helps put out house blaze in Lincoln

Waltham firefighters were called to assist at a three-alarm house fire Tuesday afternoon on Round Hill Road in Lincoln. Lincoln requested Waltham’s Tower 1 to open the roof and assist with ventilation.

The fire began around 2 p.m. on the second floor and spread rapidly into the attic and roofline of the large two-story home. As conditions deteriorated, the incident was upgraded to a 3rd alarm, bringing additional mutual aid companies to the scene.

Waltham’s Tower 1 and Car 2 operated on the roof and provided support during ventilation and overhaul, while other responding departments assisted with interior operations and water supply.

All occupants made it out safely. The home sustained heavy damage and is currently uninhabitable. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
