Charges in July shooting case moved to Superior Court following grand jury indictment

Following indictment by a Middlesex Superior Court grand jury on charges related to a July shooting, Waltham District Court Judge Ellen M. Caulo disposed all charges in a district court case against Justo Murillo Sanchez, 38, of 83 Lexington St., Waltham, at a probable cause hearing on Jan. 6.

Murillo Sanchez was indicted on Dec. 16 on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a firearm, two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of carrying a loaded firearm without a license, felony possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. He pleaded not guilty on these charges at an arraignment at Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn on Dec. 30.

Charges in a case against Gaby Sandoval-Matute, a codefendant in the district court case against Murillo Sanchez, remain pending. She is scheduled to appear at Waltham District Court for a pretrial hearing on Jan. 28.

Middlesex Superior Court Judge Daniel Flaherty ordered Murillo Sanchez to remain held without bail on dangerousness at the Middlesex Jail in Billerica at his arraignment on Dec. 30.

He is scheduled to appear for a dangerousness hearing on Jan. 16.
