Mahesh Bhagadia, 1952–2026, loving husband and father

Mahesh Bhagadia, a longtime resident of Waltham, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 74.
Mahesh was born in India on December 9, 1952. He worked as a mechanic at Sullivan Tire, formerly Tom Lyons in Waltham, for 37 years. He was known as a dependable and hardworking man who took great pride in his work and in helping others. Mahesh enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was an avid car enthusiast who loved buying and fixing cars.
Mahesh will be remembered for his loyalty, his quiet strength and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mahesh was the beloved husband of Minaxi Bhagadia, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Bhavin Bhagadia of Virginia and Hemali and Samir Patel of Framingham, and a proud grandfather to Roshni and Aarav Patel.
He is also survived by his siblings, Veena Modi (Waltham), Suresh and Minakshi Bhagadia (Stoneham), Divya Modi (Billerica), Kanta Modh (St. Louis), and Kailash and Dinesh Kapadia (India), along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
A traditional Hindu funeral service in celebration of Mahesh’s Life was held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in the Lucy Stone Chapel of Forest Hills Cemetery, 171 Walk Hill Street in Jamaica Plain, where family and friends came together to honor and celebrate his life.
