Temperatures remain well above normal ahead of an approaching cold front, although they should be slightly lower than previous days. Partly sunny with scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may become strong, producing damaging wind gusts.

While not quite as hot as Friday, dangerous heat continues with afternoon heat index values approaching 100°F. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon and evening as a cold front moves through. Although widespread severe weather is not expected, a few storms could produce damaging wind gusts.
