Waltham District Court Judge Ellen M. Caulo rescheduled a Dec. 1 pretrial hearing for Brandon D. Stinson, 41, of 305 Winter St., Waltham, to Jan. 7.

Stinson pleaded not guilty to possession of child pornography and was ordered held on $15,000 bail at Middlesex Jail in Billerica by Judge Michael J. Callahan at an arraignment on Nov. 18.

Callahan also set terms of release that Stinson is not to use the internet and cannot contact or work with minors.

According to the police report, officers in the Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children task force received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s cyber tipline that instant messaging app Kik discovered user activity on or around May 26 including two files containing child sexual abuse material.

The report added that after officers viewed the videos in the files and confirmed it appeared to be child pornography, administrative subpoenas issued by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office to Verizon and Google matched the IP address of the Kik user and email listed in the report to Stinson’s accounts.

Kik also provided officers with additional files containing more videos and explicit conversations Stinson allegedly had with four underage users on the app between May 23 and May 26, according to the report.

Stinson was released from Middlesex Jail after posting bail on Nov. 21, according to a jail spokesperson.
