The Waltham High School boys lacrosse team opened its season with a dominant 17–3 win over Boston Latin School on Thursday night.

The Hawks controlled the game from the opening faceoff with a fast-paced offense and strong ball movement leading to consistent scoring throughout the night. Defensively, Waltham limited Boston Latin to just three goals, showing discipline and communication across the field.

The win builds on momentum from last season when Waltham earned a spot in the MIAA Division 1 State Tournament. With that experience behind them, the Hawks appear confident and prepared as they begin the new season.

Waltham’s strong performance on both ends of the field highlights a team looking to take the next step after last year’s postseason appearance.
