Pixel takes a little time to open up, but once she feels safe, her wonderful personality truly shines. She shows affection in the sweetest ways, from giving her favorite humans little licks and staying close by to adorably calling out when they leave the house.

Pixel may not be a big fan of petting, but she absolutely adores her daily brushing sessions—a perfect way to build trust while keeping her gorgeous coat looking its best. She’s also a clever girl who has learned “sit” and “paw” for treats.

You would never guess Pixel’s story from the gentle girl she is today. She was found abandoned in the basement of an apartment building, and when she first arrived in foster care, she was understandably hissy and skittish. But with patience and love, her nervousness has gradually melted away. These days, her foster family can’t remember the last time she hissed.

For a cat who started out a little spicy, Pixel is surprisingly gentle and forgiving. If you accidentally bump into her or even step on her tail, she seems to understand it was an accident and quickly brushes it off.
