A soggy day as a developing low-pressure system moves through. Rain arrives mid-morning (between 8–11 a.m.) and becomes steady to heavy at times by mid-afternoon. Expect widespread rainfall totals of 0.5–0.75″, with isolated areas potentially seeing over 1.0″. Thunderstorms are possible after 5 p.m., especially across interior MA. Winds from the south at 10–14 mph gust to 25–30 mph at times, strongest across elevated areas and the coast. Highs top out near 67°F. Rain tapers to scattered showers by 10 p.m. with lows falling to 48°F.
