Waltham Land Trust

The Waltham Land Trust’s mission is to create a legacy of land conservation in Waltham by promoting, protecting, restoring, and acquiring open space. We envision growth in public appreciation of natural resources, preservation and restoration of native habitat, and increased biodiversity to foster a healthier environment. WLT is similar to a "Friends" advocacy group, offering fun activities outside, indoors, and via Zoom, all focused on nature. Our volunteer stewardship program is very popular!

Waltham Partnership for Youth

Waltham Partnership for Youth (WPY) works to close the opportunity gap in Waltham by running programs for youth and connecting families to resources through collaborations with community partners. Our goal is for all students to have the skills and resources to create their own paths to success and well-being. WPY serves over 800 youth annually, connecting them to education, career pathways, social-emotional support, and community resources.

REACH Beyond Domestic Violence

REACH Beyond Domestic Violence is a multiservice agency that helps over 8,000 people a year across 27 different cities and towns in Massachusetts. The services we offer include direct advocacy for DV survivors and their families, a fully staffed shelter, community outreach, and prevention initiatives. Our mission is not only to support survivors in the moment, but to build healthier communities and actively change the conditions that enable domestic violence in the first place.

Charles River Community Health

Charles River Community Health is the only community health center serving the greater Waltham and Watertown communities. We provide medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy serivces along with social and insurance support. Most of our current patients are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation immigrants, often originally from Central America, South America, and Caribbean countries. 2/3 of our patients identify as Latinx and 78% prefer services in a language other than English.

Historic New England's Lyman Estate

Built in 1793, the Lyman Estate is one of Historic New England's 38 properties and home to one of the oldest greenhouses in the country, an elegant mansion, and picturesque grounds. Visitors encounter over 150 years of history at the mansion, which is also used as a venue for weddings and events.
