“A Special Day in Waltham” returns for a second year. The event is a collaboration between multiple local organizations and the Massachusetts Special Olympics.
All individuals and athletes with developmental disabilities are invited to join in what will be an inclusive day of games, activities, music, food and much more. The day is expected to be filled with sports and games including soccer, cornhole, fitness activities, a 25-yard dash, home run derby and ultimate frisbee.
Anyone can attend, but only those older than five will be able to play in the games.
Waltham Lions Club and Pizzi Farm food trucks will be at the event.
Opportunities for Inclusion is also looking for sponsors and volunteers.
