From THE CAT CONNECTION
Dax is a 7-year-old kitty with a gentle soul and quirky charm. He is a laid-back companion who enjoys short bursts of play and catnip sessions—just enough to have fun before he flops over, purrs, and is ready for some pets. He loves to be with people but is not overly demanding. He especially loves naps and snuggling up to his foster parent at night, and would happily make shared bedtime a habit.
Dax is a low-maintenance cat who would thrive with a calm, cat-experienced adult or two in a quiet home. He has a cautious but loving nature and communicates his feelings openly, whether he’s feeling content or needs reassurance. While social and outgoing, he appreciates gentle, gradual introductions to new experiences and touches.
His sensitivity also makes him receptive to positive reinforcement and rewards, which have been instrumental in his clicker training journey. He’s a fast learner and has an impressive range of skills, from high-fives to 360-degree turns, and is becoming comfortable with more handling as he builds trust through the process.
Dax is a bush-dweller at heart and adores cozy hideaways, so his ideal home would provide a few snug spaces where he can feel secure. We think he would also welcome having another calm, cat-friendly cat as a buddy, as he has shown a genuine interest in becoming friends with his current feline foster sibling.
Dax has flourished in a calm, attentive foster home and is looking forward to sharing his unique charm with his forever person. Dax’s sweet nature and gentle spirit will make him a wonderful best friend.
