Jonathan Paz announces bid for Katherine M. Clark’s congressional seat

Former Waltham Ward 9 Councilor and mayoral candidate Jonathan Paz announced that he is running for the MA-5 seat in the House of Representatives in the 2026 primary. 

In a press release on Monday, Paz announced his “people-powered campaign,” which he promises will address housing, healthcare and immigration. Additionally, Paz released a video announcing his campaign that features locations and constituents in Waltham. 

He will be challenging current MA-5 representative and Democratic whip Katherine M. Clark. Clark has served seven terms and is running for reelection in 2026.
