Free food and groceries available in Waltham

Many helping hands and organizations in Waltham reach out to people in need of a meal or take-home groceries. Every week the Waltham nonprofit WATCH CDC, compiles a list of organizations offering food and groceries to people in need.

In addition, any person with low income and nutritional needs and who has a child under age 5 or is pregnant or breast-feeding may be eligible for WIC benefits. Another way to get food is with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits (formerly known as food stamps), which are given to people who are legally in the United States and have a low income.
