City Council committee chairs elected for the new year

The City Council made appointments and elected leaders for each of its various committees in a series of meetings on Tuesday night. 

Appointments and chair positions are as follows:

• The Committee of the Whole will be chaired by Ward 5 Councilor Joey LaCava. All city councilors serve as members of the Committee of the Whole. 

• The Public Works and Public Safety Committee re-elected Randall J. LeBlanc as chair. Other members include Caren Dunn, Sean T. Durkee, Paul S. Katz and Anthony LaFauci.

• The Economic and Community Development Committee re-elected Paul J. Brasco as chair. Other members include Colleen Bradley-MacArthur, Cathyann Harris, Joey LaCava and Thomas Stanely.

• The Ordinances & Rules Committee re-elected Cathyann Harris as chair. Other members include Caren Dunn, Bill Hanley, Robert G. Logan and John McLaughlin.

• The Veterans Service Committee re-elected Sean T. Durkee as chair. Other members include Paul J. Brasco, Bill Hanley, Randall J. LeBlanc and John McLaughlin.

• The Long Term Debt Committee re-elected Kathy McMenimen as chair. Other members include Colleen Bradley-MacArthur, Sean T. Durkee, Thomas Stanley and Carlos A. Vidal.

• The Licenses and Franchises Committee re-elected Carlos A. Vidal as chair. Other members include Caren Dunn, Bill Hanley, Paul S. Katz and Robert G. Logan. 

• The Finance Committee re-elected Anthony LaFauci as chair. Other members include Joey LaCava, Randall J. LeBlanc, Kathy McMenimen and Carlos A. Vidal.
