Public Safety Watch: Waltham woman arrested after blocking snowplow
A woman was arrested a week ago Sunday after she refused to move out of the way for a snowplow.
Police were notified around 3 a.m. on Feb. 16 that a vehicle was blocking the path of a snowplow.
Upon arrival, police found that the car was occupied and asked the driver to move the car.
According to police, the occupant, Danielle Allain, 36, of 45 Marguerite Ave., Waltham, refused to move the vehicle after multiple requests from the officer. Allain also allegedly threatened to drive the vehicle into the snowplow, at which point the officer attempted to turn off the vehicle. Allain reportedly responded by hitting the officer.
Allain was arrested and police said the officer found what was believed to be crystal meth and a pipe while taking an inventory of the vehicle.
Allain was arrested and charged at 3:36 a.m. with assault and battery on a police officer, possession of a class B drug, refusing to provide identification and failure to keep right for an oncoming motor vehicle.

A summary of additional police activity from Feb. 13 to Feb. 18 is as follows:
On Feb. 13 at 8:53 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot at 101 Clematis Ave. A car had backed into another; a report was filed.
At 12:58 p.m. police responded to a report of an unwanted guest at the Hampton Inn at 135 Second Ave. A manager wanted a guest removed from the premises. Once police arrived, the guest left without incident.
At 7:14 p.m. someone called the police station concerned about cars speeding on Crescent Street. Officers monitored the street twice that day for speeding vehicles.
On Feb. 14 at 5:58 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run at 144 Brown St. The caller said that the caller’s truck had been damaged after parking it on the street overnight. No leads on a potential suspect could be given. A report was filed.
At 9:14 a.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at the Market Basket at 110 Market Place Drive. Upon arrival, police determined that an individual had misplaced a bag with personal items after leaving it in the cafe area. The bag was found in the trash and returned to its owner.
Mackenny Clerveau, 30, of 31 Foster Ave., Billerica, was arrested and charged at 9:31 p.m. on a warrant for using a motor vehicle without authority.
Jorge Najera-Carias, 31, of 109 Pine St., Waltham, was arrested and charged at 11:58 p.m. with a marked lane violation, driving while under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
On Feb. 15 at 8:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Crescent and Moody streets. According to police reports, a car ran a red light and collided with another. Minor damage was sustained and a report was filed.
At 12:32 p.m. a caller reported receiving harassing messages over Facebook Messenger. A potential suspect was identified, and police applied for charges.
On Feb. 16 at 9:40 a.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Ash Street. The reporting party had been arguing with a neighbor after a friend’s car had been struck by a snowplow, according to police reports. At some point during the argument, the neighbors started throwing snow at each other. Police advised both parties that this was a civil issue and advised them of their options.
At 3:33 p.m. the Fire Department responded to a report of water shooting out of a manhole cover near Azteca Market at 71 Pine St. Police called the city’s water and sewer division, and the issue was resolved.
On Feb. 17 at 6:02 p.m., police responded to a report of a dog running into traffic near Leslie Road. The dog was reunited with its owner.
On Feb. 18 at 2:13 a.m., police responded to a report of illegally parked vehicles at the ReNew apartment complex at 20 Middlesex Circle. Police issued two parking citations.
At 2:35 a.m. police responded to a report of a utility hazard outside of a property on Prospect Street. The caller reported that an outdoor gas radiator was making strange noises. National Grid was contacted and resolved the issue.
