Court Report – Man pleads not guilty to unarmed robbery and assault
The following is a summary of court activity at the Waltham District Court on April 22.
Orlando Jimenez, 34, homeless, of Waltham, was released after pleading not guilty to unarmed robbery and assault and battery on a family or household member.
During his arraignment, he was told to stay away from the alleged victim and not to contact them, have no further abuse allegations against him, not to possess any dangerous weapons and to abide by a restraining order as a part of his release conditions.
Jimenez can avoid jail time as long as he abides by these conditions and shows up to his pretrial hearing on May 27.
Jose Benitez-Asencio, 50, of 62 Cutter St., Waltham, was released on April 22 after pleading not guilty to assault and battery on a family member or household member and intimidation of a witness, police or court official.
Benitez-Asencio was asked to refrain from coming in contact with the alleged victim, not to possess any dangerous weapons, not to abuse the alleged victim further and to stay away from 62 Cutter St. as a part of his release conditions.
His pretrial hearing is on May 27.
Karen Leduc, 61, of 205 Bacon St., Waltham, had her charge of disorderly conduct decriminalized by the Waltham District Court during her arraignment on April 22.
This means the punishment for the charge is a fine or other penalty rather than jail time.
During her arraignment, Leduc was found responsible for the charge, but the charge was disposed of by the court, meaning that the case was resolved.
Vyugar Ragymov, 39, of 43 Rich St., Waltham, was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. This means Ragymov can avoid jail time on the condition that he shows up for his pretrial hearing on May 27.
Margo Mobiley, 60, homeless, of Waltham, was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to trespassing.
Mobiley was appointed an attorney and had her counsel fee waived. Her pretrial hearing is on May 27.
