Akkaz Gems opens location in Waltham

Akkaz Gems, a family-owned business specializing in natural precious gemstones and jewelry, opened a new location in Waltham in January. 

The business, established in 2022, is based in Massachusetts and focuses on offering natural gemstones certified by the Gemological Institute of America and custom jewelry design.

The company was founded by Osama Abdulhadi, who has a background in the global fashion and luxury goods industry. Akkaz Gems sources its stones from international mines, including those in Sri Lanka, and emphasizes ethical sourcing and transparency in its business practices.

The Waltham location at 75 3rd Ave. serves as both a retail space and a design studio, allowing customers to view and commission custom jewelry pieces. According to information on the company’s website, Akkaz Gems aims to provide a personalized experience for clients, with a focus on craftsmanship and quality.
