Pizzi Farms property sold

The land at 495 Lincoln St., better known as Pizzi Farm Market and Deli, has been sold. Cheryl and Richard Pizzi along with the 495 Lincoln Street Realty Trust sold the land to CPLS Development LLC for $1.72 million on Oct. 24. CPLS Development LLC was created on Oct. 10 of this year and is owned by Richard Pizzi Jr. as well as Anthony G. Cardillo III from Waltham construction company A. Cardillo & Sons Inc. The land was approved for a subdivision into four lots on Sept. 3.
As of Nov. 3, Pizzi Farm Market and Deli has not responded to requests for comment on whether or not the business plans to stay open if the land is developed.

I have been enjoying Pizzi Farm ice cream for a few years, hope they will keep that little shop in the future project. I am glad that I had eaten their ice cream twice this past summer.
There’s a great opportunity to build a good mixed-use community here that keeps the ice cream shop in some form and builds badly-needed housing.
Unfortunately with the zoning it’ll just be four gaudy McMansions.
At least preserve the ice cream business—a cherished favorite place and especially popular with visitors.
Sad day for the neighborhood. The area is being over built. Developers are a greedy bunch.
Waltham is not “over built.” We have a housing shortage. Developers can only build what’s zoned and everything north of Main Street is zoned for giant single-family houses no one can afford.
May the business continue and thrive in midst of development
More Waltham landmarks going down the drain. One will never even know Pizzi Farms existed just like DeVincent Farms. Money rules the world. Sad day for Waltham
