Man arrested at Embassy parking garage after reports of alleged assault

​​Waltham police on Tuesday night responded to reports of a man assaulting people in the lower area of the Embassy parking garage off Pine Street. 

According to police reports, officers located the suspect a short time later inside the lobby of the building at 48 Pine St. Police attempted to take him into custody, but he resisted and a struggle followed before officers were able to detain him. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation and later placed under arrest.

A witness on scene said the man had been causing disturbances in the area well before police arrived.
