Betty Jane Troie, 1952–2026

Betty Jane Troie, of Watertown, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was 74.

Betty Jane was born in Newton and lived for many years in Waltham before moving to Watertown in 2002. Betty Jane enjoyed all things educational and was employed for many years in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a technician having worked for many years at the Waltham – Weston Hospital. Betty Jane was a generational member of Beth Eden Baptist Church in Waltham.

Betty was the beloved daughter of the late William A.Troie and Evelyn (Coleman) Troie, and sister of the late William D.Troie. She will be remembered with great love by her nephews and all who knew her.

A memorial service in celebration of Betty Jane’s life will be held at the Beth Eden Baptist Church, 84 Maple Street, Waltham, on Saturday May 16 at 1:30 p.m. The Pastor Reverend Esther Pearson will officiate. Interment was held at Newton Cemetery.
