Waltham crews respond to two-car crash on Trapelo Road; one taken to hospital

One of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant front-end damage.
The second car was struck from behind.

Emergency crews responded around 3 p.m. Saturday to the area of Pine Vale Road and Trapelo Road for a reported two-car crash with entrapment.

Upon arrival, responders determined that no individuals were trapped inside the vehicles. Airbags had deployed in the collision, and one person was transported to Lahey Hospital for evaluation, according to initial information from the scene.

Additional details were not immediately available.
