Red, white and barbecue: Waltham seniors mark nation’s 250th

Waltham seniors gathered Friday, July 24, for a summer cookout at the Center on Aging, where hot dogs, hamburgers and sausages came with a side of patriotic fanfare.

DJ Rich Profita spun festive tunes throughout the event, which carried a theme celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. Red, white and blue decorations and flags filled the room.

Uncle Sam also made an appearance — Center on Aging director Pat O’Brien, sporting white whiskers and a top hat.

  1. Looks like a great time was had by all at the senior center. Hot dogs hamburgers and sausages. Sadly looks like no vegan options were given. Not everyone eats animals.
