Waltham Common Concert Draws Big Summer Crowd

One of the larger crowds of the summer filled Waltham Common on Aug. 2 for a performance by the Watch City Cadillacs, the popular local band known for doo-wop-style rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 1950s and ’60s.

The concert also served as an occasion to honor Patti Strom, who received a shout-out for 15 years of volunteer service to the Waltham Arts Council.

Among the concertgoers were Julie and her canine companion, Jasmine, and Jeff and Abby, who took in the music over a picnic supper on the lawn.
