Car wash raises funds for high school cheerleading program
Members of the Waltham High School cheerleading program held a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Creonte Tire and Auto Repair on Linden Street.
The cheerleaders, led by varsity head coach Kerrie Blanchard, washed vehicles from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with families and younger community members also lending a hand.
The team also sold $10 entries for its October gift card calendar. Each entry provides 31 chances to win, with a different prize offered every day during October. Prizes include gift cards from several Waltham-area and national businesses, along with two free oil changes valued at $100 each from Creonte Tire.
Proceeds from both fundraisers benefit Friends of Waltham High School Cheer and support the program’s 2026 season.
