Public Safety Report

A summary of public safety actions from July 25 to July 31 is as follows:

On July 25 at 11:02 a.m., police responded to a report of a larceny at a Cushing Street residence. Officers discovered that the reporting party had fallen victim to a scam. The reporting party had transferred money through a fraudulent website and lost $4,000. Police filed a report.

At 4:23 p.m. officers found what appeared to be crack cocaine at a Lexington Street address. Police seized the drugs for destruction.

At 8:02 p.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at a Pine Hill Circle residence. Officers discovered that the reporting party had lost $2,000 from an online dating scam. Police filed a report.

On June 26 Joseph Keane Jr., 36, homeless, of Waltham, was arrested on multiple charges for possession of class B, C, D, E and F drugs, carrying a dangerous weapon, unlicensed and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and a motorized scooter violation. On June 27 police investigated a report of a past assault and battery at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant at 211 Moody St. Officers discovered that two people had gotten into a physical fight, during which one of them threw a glass at the other, causing injury. As a result, Ethel Sebunnya, 27, of 112 College Farm Rd., Waltham, was arrested at around 6 p.m. for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Michael Repassy, 40, of 27 Copley Ave., Waltham, was arrested at 3:29 a.m. for a suspended or revoked motor vehicle registration, an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of a class B drug.

On June 28 at 1:08 a.m., Douglas Lapolli, 41, of 89 Washington St., Woburn, was arrested on warrants for an expired car registration sticker, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a motor vehicle lights violation and an open container of alcohol.

At 5:56 p.m. police responded to a past assault and battery at Planet Fitness at 108 Clematis Ave. Officers discovered that two people had gotten into a physical fight, throwing energy drinks at each other. No charges were filed.

Schleiden Meneide, 37, of 265 Village Circle Way, Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. for 15 counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a suppressor, a fugitive from justice warrant and two counts each of improper storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm without an FID card. At 9:33 p.m. officers responded to a Moody Street residence to assist the Newton Police Department with serving a resident with legal paperwork. Officers located the resident and passed along the documents.

On July 29 at 9:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a larceny at a Christopher Road residence. Officers discovered that the reporting party had lost $1,600 from a fraudulent listing of a pet for sale on social media. Police filed a report.

Gaby Sandoval-Matute, 31, of 83-1 Lexington St., Waltham, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. on warrants for carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence, extortion by threat of injury, assault and battery by discharging a firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, evidence tampering, conspiracy and four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

On July 30 at 8:54 a.m., police responded to an identity theft at a Lexington Street residence. The reporting party stated that someone had opened up a phone plan using her name. Police filed a report.

On July 31 at 7:46 a.m., police responded to a report of a larceny of a motor vehicle at a Newton Street residence. The reporting party’s car was gone when he tried to locate it that morning. Police filed a report.
