A school vehicle was involved in a crash at the intersection of Lexington and Beaver streets last Wednesday, the second time in the month that a school vehicle was involved in a collision at that spot.

On Jan. 29 at 2:29 p.m., police responded to a crash at the intersection of Lexington and Beaver streets.

A school bus van was traveling northbound on Lexington when it collided with a passenger vehicle heading southbound.

Police said the operator of the passenger vehicle failed to yield as it sought to turn left onto Beaver Street.

The collision resulted in a third vehicle, also on Beaver Street, getting hit.

The operator of the van was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The crash resulted in minor damage to the vehicles. Police cited the driver of the southbound passenger vehicle for making an improper turn.

The crash comes less than two weeks after a similar collision at the intersection.

On Jan. 17 at 8:26 a.m., police responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles, including a school bus. The crash sent seven people, including six students, to the hospital

According to police, the bus was traveling northbound on Lexington Street when it hit a white van taking a left onto Beaver Street. The collision caused the van to roll over a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light.
