Deer crossing on the Mass Central Rail Trail

Last Friday morning, as I exited the Mass Central Rail Trail tunnel by Market Place Drive, I saw several young white-tailed deer. As a cyclist approached from the opposite side, the deer ran across the bike path. It’s amazing how the coats of these creatures become less saturated as the weather gets cooler, but regain their brilliant brown hue in the spring and summer months.
