Waltham residents turn out for nationwide No Kings rally on 250th anniversary of the American Revolution

Hundreds of Waltham residents turned out on Waltham Common on Saturday as part of a nationwide protest against the Trump administration. Colorful handmade signs waved against clear blue skies, many of them on the theme of “No Kings” in reference to the American Revolution which started 250 years ago with the battles of Lexington and Concord.

Saturday’s protests involved some 800 locations across the U.S. and are part of the 50501 movement (short for “50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement”), a decentralized, grassroots political organization founded to protest the policies and actions of the second Donald Trump administration.
