Volunteers clean up the city and riverbank

Damp weather and rain bursts did not deter dozens of volunteers who fanned out across the city and prowled the banks of the Charles River in pursuit of trash this past Saturday. They were mobilized by the yearly citywide clean-up, 26th annual Charles River Earth Day clean-up and Waltham Fields Community Farms and GROW clean-up. It was an impressive showing of volunteerism and civic pride.
