Waltham releases dates for the 2025 election season

The Waltham City Council recently shared key dates set for this year’s local elections.
The nine ward seats and six at-large seats on the City Council are up for election, as well as three of the six seats on the School Committee.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
If an open seat attracts a certain number of candidates, then the city will have a preliminary election. The date for a preliminary election, if it is required, will be Tuesday, Sep. 9.
The schedule for early voting will be determined by early July.
Nomination papers for City Council and School Committee seats will be available starting Wednesday, Apr. 30, and will be due back to the City Clerk’s Office by Friday, Jun. 27.
