State rolls out resources to help laid-off federal workers
Gov. Healey and Lt. Gov. Driscoll have announced a new website to help federal employees find new jobs. The move responds to the recent layoffs, position cuts and hiring freezes at federal agencies by the Trump administration.
The Mass.gov site links to three Massachusetts job posting sites for state, municipal and industry jobs. Job seekers can explore information on career paths, register for a workshop or find help at one of the state’s MassHire career centers.
It also provides a special set of resources for veterans, who make up nearly a third of federal workers – and who face additional hardship after cuts made to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
“We need your skills, your knowledge and your purpose,” Healey said in a video on the site’s home page. “Come make a difference with us at Team Massachusetts.”
