Waltham police respond to report of a man brandishing a gun

Waltham police responded to a report of a male suspect allegedly brandishing a firearm near 80 Hall Street around 8:30 p.m.on Sunday. Officers located and apprehended the individual.

Following the arrest, K-9 Hondo, handled by Officer John Connarton, was deployed to search the area for the firearm. During the investigation, a shell casing was discovered on Hall Street.

The circumstances surrounding the firearm and the suspect’s intent remain under investigation.
