City council nomination papers due June 27th

Considering a run for public office in Watch City this election cycle? 

Waltham citizens interested in running for a City Council or School Committee position have one week to submit their nomination papers. 

The deadline for papers is Friday, June 27, at 5 p.m. 

Potential candidates must collect 50 signatures as part of the nomination paper process and submit a statement of candidacy by July 18. Eligible candidates must be registered voters in Massachusetts and residents of Waltham. 

The preliminary election will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9, and the municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 4. See the full 2025 election calendar here.
