Public pool opens for the summer season

Connors Memorial Swimming Pool, located at 330 River St., is opening for the season this Saturday — just in time for the arrival of summer heat. 

The pool, run by the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation, will be open daily from 11:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Connors Pool is expected to remain open through Aug. 17. 

Lifeguards are also on duty throughout the summer.

In addition to the pool itself, Connors Pool has public restrooms, shaded benches, showers, a spray deck and lockers. Parking for the pool is available in the parking lot near the River Street basketball court.
