Keeping Waltham hydrated

Waltham resident Zachary Bourque is on a one-man mission to provide cold water to police officers, firefighters, Department of Public Works employees and others who are working in the summer heat. 

Bourque was spotted recently on Moody Street pulling a cooler filled with chilled bottles of water, which he handed out to workers. “Whether they’re directing traffic, maintaining roads, or keeping our communities safe and running smoothly, they all deserve a little appreciation — especially in this summer heat,” he posted on his Facebook page. 

“Residents have been asking for water as well, trying to buy, and I just give it to them,“ he said.
