Bentley Falcons’ Ethan Leyh signs with Greensboro in minor leagues, invited to National and American Hockey League camps

Ethan Leyh, captain of the 2024-25 Bentley Falcons hockey team, has signed with the Greensboro Gargoyles, the minor league affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes. Leyh also received invites to Carolina’s NHL Rookie Camp and the preseason camp of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. 

A two-year captain at Bentley, Leyh capped his NCAA career by helping lead the Falcons to their first Atlantic Hockey Championship and NCAA tournament appearance this past March.

In 72 games at Bentley over two seasons, the British Columbia native notched 30 goals and 41 assists.

He was twice voted to the All-Atlantic Hockey team, with a first team selection in 2025. He was named the 2025 Atlantic Hockey America co-Best Defensive Forward and was a finalist for the Forward of the Year award.

Leyh was also voted Bentley’s Team MVP for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.Leyh earned his master’s degree from Bentley in business administration in May. He is the fifth player from the 2024-25 squad to sign with a pro team this summer, joining Sam Duerr, Nick Bochen, Tanner Main and Artem Buzoverya.
