On Nov. 5, the Waltham Fire Department received a delivery of two new 2025 Seagrave Pumper fire engines at their central station at 175 Lexington St. One engine was ordered in 2022 and another in 2023, but due to nationwide supply chain issues following the pandemic, they have just now arrived. The two older engines that the new vehicles are replacing will be used only for emergencies or when other engines are out for repairs. Mayor Jeanette A. McCarthy, as well as several city councilors, joined WFD in welcoming the engines into the fleet.
