Status review hearing scheduled for Waltham man facing multiple drug and weapon charges

Waltham District Court Judge Ellen M. Caulo scheduled a Jan. 14 hearing to review status for Joseph Keane Jr., 36, homeless, of Waltham, on Dec. 16.

At a July 28 arraignment, Keane pleaded not guilty to four counts of possession with intent to distribute a class B drug, three counts of possession with intent to distribute a class E drug, two motorized scooter violations carrying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 

According to the police report, Waltham police arrested Keane after finding him in possession of various weapons during a motorized scooter traffic stop on July 26. 

The police report also said that during a July 28 search of Keane’s hotel room, officers found various illegal substances and more than $67,000 in cash.

Keane is scheduled to appear in person at Waltham District Court on Jan. 14.

Caulo scheduled a Feb. 2 motion hearing for Rafael Rosario, 40, of 344 Hampshire St., Lawrence, at a pretrial hearing on Dec. 15. Waltham police arrested and charged Rosario with distribution of a class B drug on Oct. 10 after officers witnessed him execute multiple drug transactions across the city. Caulo also ordered Rosario to remain held on $15,000 bail at Middlesex Jail in Billerica. He is scheduled to appear via Zoom at Waltham District Court on Feb. 2. 

Caulo rescheduled a hearing to review status on Dec. 17 for William Patrick Ford, 43, homeless, of Waltham. Ford is currently held at Middlesex Jail in Billerica, charged with armed robbery, threat to commit a crime, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon, and two counts of possession of a class B drug following an arrest by Waltham police on Oct. 6. Ford is scheduled to appear via Zoom at Waltham District Court on Jan. 20.

Caulo dismissed two charges of possession of class B and C drugs for Danielle Riccio, 41, of 15 Luther Road, Burlington, upon request of the Commonwealth on Dec. 18. Riccio pleaded not guilty to both charges at an arraignment on Sept. 26.
