Waltham’s Pat Murphy honored at New England Patriots game

At Gillette Stadium, last Sunday was a big day for both the New England Patriots and Waltham resident Pat Murphy. The Patriots completed a highly successful regular season, and the team recognized Murphy as a 2025 Difference Maker of the Week for her longtime volunteer work.
Murphy serves on the board at the Community Day Center of Waltham, which provides day shelter and support to homeless adults. She plays a key role in addressing their individual needs by facilitating donations from the local community.
“The Patriots Foundation put together an incredible celebration for the Difference Maker of the Week winners, from pregame time in the Sports Illustrated Pavilion to watching the Patriots warm up on the field, capped off by a group photo with [Patriots CEO Robert] Kraft and my fellow honorees,” said Murphy. “As a lifelong Patriots fan, I was honored to be part of such a special experience.”
The New England Patriots Foundation also awarded $10,000 to The Community Day Center of Waltham in Murphy’s honor.
By game’s end, the Patriots added a win to the day’s celebrations.
