The city will hold its annual Patriots’ Day Ceremony Monday, April 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lexington and Lincoln streets, where the Waltham Minuteman Memorial is located.

Organized by the City of Waltham Veterans’ Services, the event is open to the public and will honor generations of the city’s veterans who served in America’s wars.

The ceremony will include brief remarks from city officials and Waltham veterans.

The memorial commemorates the local militia from Waltham who responded at the start of the American Revolution. It sits at the mustering point where approximately 120 Waltham Minutemen and militiamen gathered on April 19, 1775, before marching to support the colonial forces.
