Senior Center this week: Karina Liendo returns

Waltham’s Council on Aging operates out of the William F. Stanley Senior Center at 488 Main St. The spacious, well-equipped center offers abundant programs for exercise, music, classes and socializing. discussion will look at the Mind Diet and what
nutrients may become more important in your diet
as you age. This program is presented by Jane Barr, MPH, LDN, of
MGB Newton Wellesley Hospital’s Community Collaborative Heart Health and Wellness Council. Free, but please register.
This Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 11:30 a.m., Like Water for Chocolate storytelling series presents “Birthday Celebrations with Grandma/Las Celebraciones de Cumpleños con la Abuela” with Karina Liendo. She will share stories inspired by her grandmother Abuela Angela, who kept the tradition of celebrating birthdays, transforming them into truly special events.
