Bacon Street man injured in alleged home invasion on Saturday

A 59-year-old Bacon Street resident was the victim of a reported stabbing during a home invasion in the late afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 1, according to the Waltham Police Department. 

The male victim was treated on the scene by EMTs and Waltham police officers and declined transport to the hospital. 

Soon after arrival to the scene, Waltham police officers apprehended two suspects. Police said the suspects, Kevin Watts, 44, and Toshara Ondric, 33, are Waltham residents. 

They were each arrested on charges of attempted murder, home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a dangerous weapon. 

“This was not a random assault. There is no on-going threat to public safety,” according to a Waltham Police Department statement.
