2025 Municipal elections-at-a-glance

UPDATE: The preliminary results have been announced.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Waltham voters will elect candidates for the city’s nine ward seats and six at-large seats on the City Council as well as for three of the six seats on the School Committee. The Waltham Times will publish profiles of each candidate. We have also shared the candidates’ responses to the League of Women Voters of Waltham questionnaire and cover the LWVW’s candidate night events on Oct. 22, 23 and 29. The events will be streamed live by Channel 781.

As we publish our profiles from Oct. 20–29, we will link it to the candidate’s name in the list below. Just click on the name to read the profile. Click on the “LWVW profile” link to read the candidates’ responses to the League questionnaire; those without the link did not respond. Incumbents have an asterisk (*) next to their names.

  • Vote by Mail Application Deadline: Oct. 28, 2025, 5 p.m.

    • Oct. 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    BUT: somewhere there should be a sample ballot (for my ward). We’ve had sample ballots on-line for previous elections, why not this one?

  2. Thank you for this. It has been so difficult to find information about candidates for municipal elections for the past few years. I hope all the candidates take the time to fill in their profiles here.

    • Thanks for your kind words. Please note that our profiles are based on reporters’ interviews with each councilor. We feel these profiles provide greater depth and nuance than questionnaires that the councilors fill out themselves.
