Three Waltham police officers honored on retirement

The Waltham Police Department on Friday, Jan. 2, honored three longtime officers who retired after decades of service to the city.

Officers Jon Bailey and Richard Giordano retired after more than 32 years with the department. Officer Robert Williams concluded more than 20 years of service.

Police Chief Kevin O’Connell and Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy joined colleagues and city officials in recognizing the officers’ dedication and professionalism.

“Their contributions have made a lasting impact on our department and our community,” O’Connell said. He thanked McCarthy for her continued support and participation in the celebration.

The department shared its gratitude for the officers’ commitment to keeping Waltham safe and wished them well as they begin their retirement.
